Mexican Four Escudos with Arabics numerals

A question for the advanced collector. How many of these Arabic numeral Mexican four escudos are known? Where and when were they found?

Lima 1710 Two Escudos

Realized approximately $6000 (net) at Aureo's July 4, 2006 sale.

Lima 1711 Four Escudos

I have another question. Where did this gold cob go? It was at auction at Bloomsbury's in the winter. It appears to be a Lima 1711 Four escudos.

Mexico 1714 Eight Escudos

I have a question. Where did this exceptional 1714 Mexico 8 escudos go? I know what it sold for at the Goldberg's Sale. I know what it sold for in February of 1967. All you could want is a little more GRAT.
Did you know there are five, not four, major varieties of the 1714 Mexican onza? An example of the neglected Rosetted shield and plain cross variety can be seen on my website.

A New Numismatic Forum

I intend this blog to serve as a forum for people with questions about Spanish Colonial gold cobs, especially those receovered from the Florida sites of the 1715 Fleet, but also from other New World wrecks such as the Maravillas, Atocha, Luz, and El Mesuno.
My main research on Fleet-era gold cobs will be published ( eventually) at a sister site, treasurecoinsandcobs dot com. Please visit that site for more information.
